Written by Mark Millar, 2003

What if Superman initially landed on the Soviet ground rather than on a Kansas farm ? The author reuses the well-known characters of the comic (Wonder Woman, Batman...), most of them put in the Soviet world. Whereas they cope with the singularity of this new cosmos, they keep their essence.

It offers another point of view of Superman, a point that I think enable us to have a glimpse of what makes Superman so unique.

~I've not read that much comics but I find it particularly deep and insightful.

~ There are some funny references to the original Superman. In the comic, some americans think that Lex Luthor and Superman would have been friend if the latter were American.

~ As a sheer humane, Lex Luthor fights well.

~ It's much darker than the very first Superman of 1938. I feel especially sad for Batman.

~ Admittedly the end is elegent but a bit far-fetched.
